By default LXLE utilizes DuckDuckGo, we believe in the search engines principles, capabilities and their many opensource initiatives and support. However we realize that some users prefer searching with Google, so we designed a custom Google search for our LXLE startpage for those individuals.
Googlxle currently emphasizes results from and those linked to/from
http://wolframalpha.com
http://infoplease.com
http://questia.com
http://wikipedia.org
http://wikihow.com
Googlxle currently excludes sites from and those linked to/from
http://ehow.com
http://demandmedia.com
http://hubpages.com
http://voice.yahoo.com
http://infobarrel.com
http://squidoo.com
http://textbroker.com
http://contant-content.com
http://ehow.co.uk
http://ehowenespanol.com
Personally we use DuckDuckGo almost exclusively but we thought it might be cool to create a custom search for our Google users and have them and others contribute to the list of known content mills, sites to focus on with great facts like Wikipedia and great links to other sites, etc.
Post any of such sites on this thread and we will try them out and get them implemented.
